Easy control of Siemens G120 positioning with the “SINA_POS” block

SIEMENS APPLICATION NOTE:

The positioning of the SINAMICS G120 drive works with the function of the Basic positioner (Epos) and the function block “SINA_POS”.

A SINAMICS G120 drive with PROFINET is controlled and positioned with a SIMATIC S7-1200.

Solution
The application shows the PROFINET connection between a SINAMICS G120 and a SIMATIC S7-1200 using SINAMICS Startdrive. The block “SINA_POS” is used for controlling and positioning of the drive.
