Role:
The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with customers, PCC sales and technical staff and vendors to efficiently process quotations, sales orders and purchase product.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enter customer purchase orders including price and delivery verification and order acknowledgement.
- Monitor delivery schedules and expedite to insure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with PCC outside sales team to produce quotations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Utilize product and application knowledge to assist customers in product selection.
- Be aware of product releases and PCC events and promote via customer contact.
- Follow up quotation activity with perspective customers and report results in CRM database.
- Work closely with other PCC departments such as Outside Sales, Accounting, and IT to foster teamwork to exceed customer expectations and implement continuous improvement efforts.
Experience/Skills:
- 2 years of sales or technical experience will be considered.
- Position requires a general understanding of industrial automation (e.g. PLC & Distributed I/O, Motion Control, Variable Frequency Drives, HMI) and industrial control (e.g. circuit breakers, motor/soft starters, relays, contactors).
- Experience in the industrial automation marketplace is a plus but not mandatory
Education: :
A bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is desired but not mandatory.
Language Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Must be able to communicate effectively with client personnel and employees at all organizational levels and develop effective working relationships with staff and a network of resources. Positive customer-focused phone and email skills are mandatory.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is required – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with business accounting systems a plus.
Work Environment:
Normal office environment and standard hours with occasional overtime required. From time to time Inside Sales Representatives will attend product training which may require out of state travel and overnight stay.
