Siemens has released a very important hot fix for Step 7 V5.4 + SP2. It is recommended that all users of Step 7 V5.4 + SP2 install this hot fix to ensure optimal usability.

This hot fix will update the following:

LAD/STL/FBD Editor
- The display of multiple instances was updated in the LAD/STL/FBD Editor.
- The display of the Spanish user interface in the dialog "PLC register contents" has been corrected.
- The behavior of block calls in LAD has been improved.

Hardware Configuration Editor
- Copying stations was improved. IP addresses may have to be updated for copied stations.
- Supporting TCI components was extended by frames with 0 bytes user data.
- The establishment of an online connection via CP5611 is now possible in all languages.

Report System Errors
- Manufacturer-specific diagnostics was improved.
- The reporting algorithm for large numbers of errors has been improved.

Topology Editor
- The recognition of neighboring relations in the Topology Editor was extended by device names.

NCM
- CP1616 and CP1604 functionalities were improved. This requires the current status of the corresponding HSPs 1012 and 1004.
- The functionality of the CP1616 and the CP1604 has been improved in relation to transfer modules. This requires the current status of the corresponding HSPs 1012 and 1004.
